Course Overview
Below is FBISD's algebra curriculum for the 2007-2008 school year. I will not necessarily follow the sequence shown; however, everything listed for a nine week cycle will be covered during that cycle. Also, since students taking algebra at the 8th grade level typically have some advanced math skills, I regard this outline as bare minimum. Our students at Sartartia will have a considerably richer learning experience.
I do not design a day-by-day or week-by-week calendar in advance. It is difficult to predict exactly how long it will take the students to grasp a particular concept, and this year we also have a new textbook and ancillary materials. You can keep up-to-date with what is happening or is planned by regularly checking the website.
